The Executive Director is responsible for the operational management of the IPPF. Within the framework of the IPPF organizational structure, she/he will make executive decisions regarding execution and outcome assessment of a strategic plan. She/he will work with the Board of Directors in responding to, and developing, new strategic opportunities and directions. The Executive Director reports to the IPPF Board of Directors.
The Executive Director is responsible for ongoing work force evaluation and management of IPPF human resources, making decisions and recommendations that optimize the workforce deployment in meeting the strategic and tactical needs of the Foundation. The Executive Director will make regular assessments of the IPPF operations and make appropriate recommendations on policy and procedure that improve the Foundation’s structure and function.
The Executive Director is responsible for managing the financial resources of the Foundation, providing regular comprehensive financial reports to the Treasurer and Board. The Executive Director is responsible for innovation in, and development of, philanthropic and other fundraising initiatives to support the strategic plan.
The Executive Director is the “face” of the IPPF and in that capacity interacts with other health care, industry and government agencies in representing the IPPF and identifying opportunities for growth and partnership. The Executive Director will work with IPPF leadership in patient advocacy and support, website development, information management and public relations to ensure professional and efficient programs, services, and technologies. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing membership retention and growth, and ensuring quality services for the constituent members of the IPPF.
The Executive Director will work with IPPF leadership in regional and national meeting agendas, site selection, and meeting preparation, organization, and execution.
The Executive Director will develop milestones, outcome assessments, and periodic formal progress reports for the BOD, and will interact with, and advise, the Board in its evaluations and decisions.
