The structure of the meetings provides attendees with a build up of knowledge starting with an introduction and moving on through treatments, medications, clinical trials, and emotional support. From all-attendee plenary sessions, to individualized workshops, there is something for everyone.
Over 100 patients and caregivers typically attend the annual meeting and roughly 70% are from within driving distance of the site. In 2012 (Boston), over 250 patients, caregivers, family and friends attended the event. Our generous sponsors help keep attendee registration costs affordable and provide valuable samples, resources, and information to attendees. Our speakers are the best in the business and are internationally recognized for their contributions to the pemphigus and pemphigoid population around the world. Additionally, we invite local dermatologists, Dental Professionals, immunologists, nurses, and others to provide local attendees with direct access to the experts in their community.
Our weekend long format typically includes a Welcome Reception and Pre-Registration Check In on Friday night. Saturday’s Registration usually begins with breakfast around 7:30 am followed by Opening remarks, plenary sessions, lunch, and workshops with plenty of time for questions.Sunday’s include breakfast and presentations/group sessions starting around 8:00 am and ends around noon.
