Welcoming Geoff to the Team

by Patrick Dunn, IPPF Executive Director

I’m happy to introduce you to the new IPPF Communications Manager, Geoffrey Waring! After conducting a nationwide search, we found that Geoff’s impressive mix of experience, skill, and empathy stood out, and he is a great addition to the IPPF staff.

Geoff brings 13 years of communications experience across higher education, healthcare, and nonprofits. Most recently he was a Content Marketing Manager at the University of Southern California, where he developed content strategy and ran email, web, and social channels for an audience of more than 15,000. Earlier, at USC’s Keck School of Medicine, he wrote patient education articles and clinical feature stories for patients, caregivers, and donors.

Since joining the IPPF in September, Geoff has had an immediate impact on our communications workflows and planning. His steady approach to learning and his excitement about the future have all of us at the IPPF looking forward to the next evolution of how we connect with and build the pemphigus and pemphigoid community.

Though communications is often a behind-the-scenes role, you’ll see Geoff’s work in our emails, social media, blog posts, and website going forward. If you regularly interact with the IPPF in any of these ways, be sure to say “Hi!”
